Espionage has been around since the dawn of man. It has been said that the concept of espionage has been around before war itself. Cavemen would leave their humble homes to visit neighboring cave dwellers that were unaware of their presence and gather intelligence on other people's activities. Then, they would return home and report their findings to their clan. With the invention of war, espionage has gained some new rules onto the playing field. Technology has brought some startling aspects to the world of espionage. So far, other governments, as well as our own, have virtually nothing to stand in their way and prevent them from "looking in" on us as citizens of the United States of America. Although, they may deny it, and even if they are telling the truth the majority of the time, it is not very comforting to know that they can watch us whenever oppurtunity knocks.
